IANTD

IANTD

IANTD is the oldest federation in the world offering technical training. It was created in 1985 in the USA by the International Association of Nitrox Divers (IAND). Its founder was Richard „Dick” Rutkowski, diving and hyperbaric medicine researcher studying the usage of gas blends in diving. Since the very beginning of its existence the federation has promoted the use of nitrox in recreational diving. As of 1992 the federation is managed by Tom Mount, the organization merged with the European Association of Technical Divers (EATD) and changed its name to the Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD). IANTD is the leader in nitrox, gas blending, technical, trimix and rebreather training programs. IANTD is a prestigious diving federation operating in the USA, Europe and Asia. IANTD’s philosophy:

“IANTD believes it is better to be safe, cautious and demanding in training than to have one accidenKt.” IANTD believes that proper training and caution help reduce the risk of accidents.

The IANTD training is not an easy one, courses demand proper behavior and approach to diving. This type of training ensures acquiring diving skills and theoretical knowledge at the highest possible level.
